Toyota Makes its battery pack in such a way that all the battery Modules ages uniformly and come to the end of life at the same time. However, in some cases, some modules show accelerated aging and reach the end of life before other modules thus limiting the performance of the entire battery pack. Since we can perform the test on individual modules in our lab, we can find the weak modules and replace them with better ones to improve the state of health of the entire pack. But this happens only in a limited number of cases. Mostly when the battery ages, all the modules age equally. That’s how TOYOTA designed the pack.
When it comes to battery reconditioning, we cannot do more than we are allowed to by the technical limitations of the battery we are initially provided with. If you bring a battery pack that is almost at the end of its life, there is very limited opportunity to improve the health of the battery. However, if we get a battery pack that is in the middle of its service life (55%-60%) we can make some significant improvements in the Battery’s state of health by reconditioning. So it’s better to be informed about the state of health of your battery pack beforehand to take the smart decision.
